- Applied Research Institute of Jerusalem
Founded in 1990, the Applied Research Institute of Jerusalem (ARIJ)
is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable development
in the occupied Palestinian territories and the self-reliance of the
Palestinian people through greater control over their natural resources. - Center for Arid Zone Studies,
University of Wales, Bangor.
CAZR was established in 1984 and specialises in natural resource
management and rural development in drought-prone areas.
- Desert Research Institute, University
and College System of Nevada
DRI conducts basic and applied environmental research concerning
drylands on a local, national, and international scale.
- Desert Research Foundation
of Namibia (DRFN), Windhoek, Namibia
DRFN is dedicated to creating and furthering awareness and understanding
of arid environments and developing the capacity, skills and knowledge
to manage arid environments appropriately.

de Investigaciones de las Zonas Áridas, Mendoza, Argentina
IADIZA conducts research and development activities in five core
areas, with the ultimate goal of restoration and sustainable development

BIDR's goal is to carry out research on the desert environment, required
for promoting sustainable uses of the Negev Desert and other drylands

The HCST is an independent organization aimed at building Jordan's
