- Are the strata clearly defined? How much error
- Will the areas estimates of each strate be consistent among investigators and over time?
- There is large, systematic variation within strata
- Higher concentrations near boles/stems
- Where do we sample within strata?
Systematic grid?
- Points are not random
- Points are often too numerous unless grid is coarse
